The building was constructed in 1993 and is owned by Union Investment GmbH. The building is operated by “Deutsche Hospitality” as a leasehold Steigenberger Hotel Hamburg. The Steigenberger Hotel Hamburg is currently classified as a five-star superior hotel (according to DEHOGA). The hotel retains this classification even after the renovation. It is a 12-storey building with 9 above-ground storeys, a fleet storey and 2 basement storeys on an area of approx. 18,400 m2 NGF. In addition to a spacious light-flooded and multi-storey lobby, the ground floor includes the public restaurant “Bistro am Fleet” in a large conservatory with adjoining terrace area on the Fleet Island, an open kitchen and the piano bar.
